NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that Ordinance 137, Fourth Series, has been adopted by the City Council of the City of Pipestone, Minnesota.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that Ordinance 137, Fourth Series, as approved by the City Council is as follows:

ORDINANCE 137, FOURTH SERIES

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING A MORATORIUM ON THE SALE OF HEMP DERIVED THC (TETRAHYDROCANNABINOLS) FOOD AND BEVERAGES IN THE CITY OF PIPESTONE, MINNESOTA.

THE CITY OF PIPESTONE ORDAINS:

1. Purpose: This ordinance establishes a moratorium on the sale of hemp derived THC (tetrahydrocannabinols) food and beverages in order to allow the city time to study the issue and consider licensing, rules and regulations, and sale management controls for the sale of hemp derived THC food and beverages.

2. Restrictions: For a period of one year from the effective date of this ordinance, no sale of hemp derived THC (tetrahydrocannabinols) food and beverages is allowed in the City of Pipestone, Minnesota. The City Council reserves the right to extend this moratorium for such additional periods as are necessary to complete the study as allowed by state law.

3. This ordinance becomes effective from and after its passage and publication.
