Pipestone Area Schools wrestlers Miklo Hernandez, Lane Fruechte and Mason Fruechte have all participated in preseason tournaments.
Hernandez, who won a national title last summer, won four matches at the Defense Soap Super 32 Challenge.
This national tournament was conducted in Greensboro, N.C.

He reached the 126-pound quarterfinals before getting decisioned 10-3 by Ignacio Villasenor, who already has committed to join the venerable program at Oklahoma State University.
Hernandez won his first-round match on tie-breaker.
Lane Fruechte, Mason Fruechte and Micah Fruechte all competed at the Big Buck preseason tournament in Moorhead.

Lane Fruechte placed second in the 120-pound division, losing to Vincent Schmid in the championship.
Mason Fruechte went 2-2 during the event, recording a technical fall and decision, at 138 pounds. Micah Fruechte won one match.

“I am proud of the boys on how they competed,” PAS head wrestling coach Paul Young said.
The first allowable date for scholastic practices is Monday, Nov. 17, per state scholastic guidelines.
