Merlyn “Butch” Arrowsmith passed away quietly in his sleep on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 78 years old from complications of dementia.
Although, he was born in DuBois, Penn. on January 30, 1944 he grew up in Pipestone, Minn. where he graduated in 1962 from Pipestone Central where he participated in football and wrestling. After graduation he worked at Pan-O-Gold bakery, Mobil Oil, but ultimately purchased a big rig and became an independent truck driver for many years until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Delores and family, Missoula, Mont.; a daughter Teresa Rippentrop, son-in-law Jeff Rippentrop, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren in Lennox, S.D. and, sister Kathleen Arrowsmith-Schilz, husband Ken Schilz and family in Loveland, Colo.
We are comforted that our loved one is no longer suffering and safely in loving hands.
