Pipestone FFA Chapter hosts awards banquet

The Pipestone chapter of the Future Farmers of America hosted its annual awards banquet Wednesday, May 10 at the blue building at the Pipestone County Fairgrounds. Attendees enjoyed a dinner while celebrating awards earned by chapter members, and other milestone achievements.

Recipients of awards this year included Lane Fruechte, outstanding Middle School Member; Alivia Fruechte, Outstanding 9th Grade Member; Rylee Folkerts, Outstanding 10th Grade Member; Outstanding 11th Grade Member, Chloe Olivier and Cameron Paulsen, Outstanding 12th Grade Member.

Chapter members were also recognized for earning different degrees and achievements.

In the Discovery Degree category, recognized members were Kenley DeWilde, Kristian Eischens, Ethan Faber, Josey Fey, Lane Fruechte, Kynslee Hulstein, Bella Murphy, Kenzley Pater, and Finley Whipkey. In the Greenhand Degree category, Barret Berkenpas, Alyvia Caskey, Matthew DeBates, Allie Pottratz, Samantha Stokesbary, and Aurora Winsel.

In the Chapter Degree category, recognized members were Logan Einck, Rylee Folkerts, Jasmine Fuller, Braedon Kor, Joseph Kor, Haylee Jolitz, Addilyn Melby, Tanner Sietsema, Hannah Smidt, Mariah Stueven, and Nathan Sutherland.

Members receiving State Degree’s at the 2023 State Convention were Cameron Paulsen and Mason DeRuyter. Non-FFA member Kim Fruechte was recognized at the event with an Honorary Chapter Degree. Top fundraisers that were recognized included Mabry McGunegill, Cole Reese and Rylee Folkerts.

The 2023-2024 officers of the Pipestone FFA Chapter were installed during the event. Taylin Muller is president, Chloe Olivier is Vice President, Kristofer Eischens is treasurer, Jenna Boeke is secretary, Alivia Fruechte is reporter, and Rylee Folkerts is sentinel.

The banquet was closed with retiring officers escorting newly installed officers to their stations, and FFA members thanking attendees and supporters of the chapter for attending the 2023 Annual FFA Banquet.
