Woodstock News Week of December 19, 2016

This week before Christmas promises to bring a bit warmer temperatures than we endured the past few days! Do not despair! Family gatherings will take place, gifts will be exchanged, and life will continue as we remember why we celebrate Christmas in the first place. The Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ! Keep that in mind during this holiday season. My personal gift to my readers. Merry Christmas.

My foray to be out in this frigid cold, consisted of a short drive to the mailbox and one trip to the post office in Woodstock. Common sense tells me to stay inside.

The Jolene and Perry Bootsma home was filled to overflowing Saturday afternoon as they hosted the Fenicle family Christmas dinner. Guests included Larry and Roseann Fenicle, Rob Fenicle,Woodstock, Laurie, Kyah and Dru Ellefson, Tyler, Larry, Jamie, Steadman and Broedon Fenicle, Pipestone, Wayne and Elaine Fenicle, Pipestone, Chris, Marie, Jaden, Jenna, and Jasmine Boeke, Pipestone, Ross, Jersey and Madesyn Fenicle, Pipestone, Bryan, Becca, Lewis and Eva Dibbs, Sioux Falls, Gina Fenicle, Sioux Falls, Denny and Jane Fenicle, Ruthton, Jim, Teresa, Katlin and Kendra Gleis, Lake Wilson, Brian, Liz, Aurora, Harper and Monte Winsel, Holland, Marcia Eisfield, Lake Wilson, Russel Baur, Janet Bush and MacKenzie, Pipestone.

Santa must have had to use a semi to bring all the gifts for the huge group! However, it happened, he made his appearance in the afternoon, much to the pleasure of the children.

Thursday evening Larry and Roseann attended Steadman Fenicle’s 6th grade band concert in Pipestone.

Have a safe and joyous Christmas as you celebrate with family and attend the church of your choice.
