Habitat protection projects scheduled

The Pipestone Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) has received $84,000 for two projects in Pipestone County that would improve Topeka Shiner habitat.The funding comes from a $1 million grant U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) received to protect habitat for the endangered minnow.”Basically, they (USFWS) cannot pay contractors and so they give us the money to run the project […]
