Pipestone County Medical Center, Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office, Pipestone Fire Department and EMS will come together to help improve the overall blood supply at PCMC during the annual Heroes Behind the Badges blood drive event on Monday, Aug. 22 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. with donor registration located inside the lobby of Pipestone County Medical Center.
Donors can log onto www.cbblifeblood.org and select “events”, August 22 and Pipestone County Medical Center to schedule an appointment or call 605-331-3222. All who donate will receive a certificate for a D.Q. meal and an All American blood donor t-shirt.
Donor must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with a signed parent consent form found at www.cbblifeblood.org), weigh 110 pounds or more and be in good general health. Donors exhibiting cold or flu symptoms are unable to donate. A valid identification is required at the time of registration. It is recommended that a person eat and drink plenty of fluid prior to donating blood.
