Siama’s Congo Roots

Siama’s Congo Roots will be held Thursday, July 21 at 10 a.m. at Meinders Community Library.

Congolese musician Siama Matuzungidi is known for his intricate guitar, catchy songs, spirited singing and traditional instruments like Balafon and Mbira. Attendees will have a chance to learn simple songs in Kikongo and Lingala and try out African singing styles like call-and-response and yodeling in this interactive program.
