The Pipestone Association Soccer League’s championship match was conducted on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the new JBS SportsPlex next to the Paulsen Athletic Complex in Pipestone.
The match pitted the local Los Jaguares (who wore gold and black uniforms) versus Buena Vista from Worthington.

The teams were deadlocked at 3-all, even after a pair of 15-minute overtime sessions. Los Jaguares won after completion of penalty kicks, 5-3.

The league featured 10 teams this year, with the 20-game regular season running from May through October.
Playoff matches began in September. Out-of-town clubs were from Marshall, Edgerton, Worthington and Sioux Falls, S.D.

Association spokesman Nixon Garcia reported there will be a new indoor league this winter, with matches played in the gymnasium at St. Leo Catholic Church.
