Pipestone County Commissioners during their Oct. 28 meeting approved a bid of $326,786.50 from A&C Excavating, of Marshall, to replace three culverts on 30th Avenue north of County State Aid Highway 7 near Cazenovia.

A&C Excavating’s bid was the lowest from among three bids received. The highest was $356,859.50 and the engineer’s estimate was $342,594.50.

Pipestone County Highway Engineer Nick Bergman said it was the fifth box culvert contract approved this year and A&C was the low bidder for all five. He said the work would probably begin next year and the completion date is Oct. 31, 2026.

In other business, the commissioners rescheduled their regular Dec. 9 meeting to Dec. 2 due to the annual Association of Minnesota Counties conference.
