Pipestone County Commissioners during their June 10 meeting approved, contingent upon the review of the bid documents, a low bid of $409,109.95 from A&C Excavating, of Marshall, for three box culvert replacement projects north of Holland.
A&C Excavating’s was the low bid from among six received. The highest bid was $482,866.86 and the engineer’s estimate was $448,812.50.
“It looks like we got some really good bids,” said Pipestone County Highway Engineer Nick Bergman. “I’m really happy with that.”
The culverts are located on County Road 81 east of 130th Avenue, County Road 81 an eighth of a mile south of 181st Street and County Road 80 west of 130th Avenue. The contracted completion date is Sept. 15, 2026.
