EDGERTON — The Southwest Minnesota Christian boys soccer team will open the Section 2A playoffs at home.
The No. 3 Eagles (8-5-1 record) will play sixth-seeded Cannon Falls in the 2A quarterfinals — with the first kick set for 4:30 p.m. on the varsity field.

Tri-City United is the top seed. They were scheduled to play either No. 8 Butterfield-Odin or No. 9 Crusaders on Thursday.
The remaining quarterfinal matches will pit No. 2 St. Peter against seventh-seeded Wings United and No. 4 Albert Lea versus fifth-seeded Fairmont.
Cannon Falls and SWC were originally scheduled to face each other during the regular season on Friday, Sept. 19; however, that match was scrubbed due to wet playing conditions.

Semifinals will be contested at the better seed.
The Section 2A championship is set for Wescott Field in Austin at 5 p.m. Oct. 16.
The Minnesota State High School League state tournament will be conducted at U.S. Bank Stadium and the West St. Paul Regional Athletics Center from Oct. 28-31.
