CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The Minnesota West Community & Technical College volleyball team placed fifth at the NJCAA Division III national tournament Saturday, Nov. 15.
The Bluejays capped a 38-5 season by sweeping Sandhills (N.C.), 25-18, 25-22, 25-20 in 70 minutes at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse. The 38 victories is the program’s best-ever total.
In the match, Minnesota West had a .160-.025 advantage in hitting efficiency — thanks in part to former Russell-Tyler-Ruthton standout Ally Nelson.
