MARSHALL — Paris Van Dyke, a sophomore at Southwest Minnesota State University, has been recognized for her academics.
Van Dyke, a Luverne resident who played for Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian, was named an all-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference honoree for the spring 2025 semester.
Overall, 10 Mustang softball players were so honored, with six in baseball, two in women’s golf, six in men’s track and field and 15 in women’s track and field — bringing the total to 39.
To be eligible for the NSIC all-academic team, a student must have a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average or higher.

Van Dyke is a marketing major at SMSU. She appeared in 53 games, with 47 starts at first base — leading the Mustang infielders with 330 putouts and a .985 fielding percentage. She batted .286 with five doubles, two triples, 22 RBI and 20 runs scored.
