C. W. Anderson of Jasper, who was reported a couple of weeks ago to have been fined $480 and relieved of his dog and gun for shooting prairie chickens out of season, flatly denies the report. Now if there were, in fact, no grounds for the report, Mr. Anderson has received a large amount of free advertising. All the city dailies contained good-sized reports of his being fined, while scores of country papers for a hundred miles around have devoted a piece of their space to the item and have commented on it extensively. Mr. Anderson has gained a widespread notoriety, if nothing more, from the circulation of the report.

County officials are expecting more than 1,500 people for the Saturday, September 16 re-dedication and open house at the Pipestone County courthouse.
