Five Pipestone Area baseball players received plaudits when the Big South Conference released its all-league honors.
Big South secretary and Redwood Valley activities director Andy Ourada distributed accolades to local media on Tuesday, June 17.
“We had some good players, and it speaks to the ability of the kids,” PAS head baseball coach and activities director Rick Zollner said.
These are the rewards for playing baseball.

What’s more, Coach Zollner announced senior infielder/catcher/pitcher Landon Quist was named an all-Section 3AA performer.

Quist is one of three first-team, all-conference Arrows, joined by senior ace pitcher/infielder Weston Reinhard and senior starting third baseman/pitcher Nohel Vivanco.
Starting centerfielder Trevor Chaulsett, another senior, and sophomore pitcher/first baseman Zayne Zollner were both honorably mentioned.
League coaches voted on these awards.
Coach Zollner said Reinhard improved in all facets — with better at-bats as PAS’ lead-off hitter and better defense as a middle infielder. He also grew in confidence while the Arrows’ premier pitcher.

Reinhard was 4-3 with a 2.21 earned-run average. He faced 190 batters in 39-2/3 innings of work — surrendering 36 hits and 27 walks. Opponents put together a .228 batting average against him.
At the plate, Reinhard hit .250 with three doubles and 21 runs scored.
Quist was healthier this season as Coach Zollner noted. Landon scored a team-best 23 runs, had 23 RBI and he hit a robust .485 with five doubles, five triples and one home run (versus Adrian-Ellsworth) in 68 official at-bats and 81 plate appearances. He pitched sparingly.
Landon Quist also produced the top slugging percentage (.750) and he reached base safely roughly 57 percent of the time.
Vivanco went 1-1 on the bump, logging 15-1/3 innings with 122 batters faced. Offensively in the clean-up spot, Nohel posted a .464 batting average with 13 runs, 17 RBI and five doubles in 69 at-bats.

Vivanco missed the 2024 season with an unspecified injury; but, he worked hard to get back for a prime role in 2025.
Zayne Zollner was the Arrow leader in RBI with 24 while recording a .338 batting average with three doubles in 71 at-bats. He was 1-3 with a 3.21 ERA, allowing 36 runs (only 15 earned) on 28 hits, 24 walks and six hit batsmen.
Landon Quist, Reinhard, Vivanco and Zollner all are playing for the Pipestone A’s amateur team this summer.
Chaulsett was 2-3, allowing 30 runs (20 earned), 30 hits and 12 walks in 21-2/3 innings. Traditionally second in the Arrow batting order, Trevor hit .348 with three doubles, 16 RBI and 20 runs scored in 69 at-bats.
