MARSHALL — The Pipestone Area Schools boys and girls basketball teams will participate in holiday-themed events this coming week.
The Arrows (2-4 before this past Monday’s game versus St. James Area) will play Minnewaska Area at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27.
Varsity games will be conducted in Southwest Minnesota State University’s R/A Facility.

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton (2-3), after Tuesday’s game versus Tracy-Milroy-Balaton, will play Hancock Area at 12:45 p.m. — also on Saturday.
Edgerton Public (3-1), who played Hills-Beaver Creek on Monday, will clash with Minneota at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31.
Pipestone plays yet again at 5 p.m. Dec. 31 versus Montevideo.
On the girls’ side, PAS (7-1) will square off against MACCRAY (Clara City) at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29 in the Borch’s Holiday Tournament — also at SMSU.

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton (3-4) will take on Ortonville at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, and Edgerton Public (4-6) faces Minneota at 5:30 p.m. the same day.
The Arrows, Knights and Flying Dutchmen junior varsity boys and girls squads also will play in the event, with those games at Marshall High School.
Admission prices are $8 for adults and $5 students.

Entringer Classic Dec. 31
BROOKINGS, S.D. — The 32nd Annual Michael J. Entringer Scholarship Classic is set for Wednesday, Dec. 31.
So make plans to watch basketball on New Year’s Eve.
The Brookings school district is serving as the event host.
Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for students.

Elkton-Lake Benton will play Madison at 2:30 p.m. in Bob Jostad Gymnasium, with coaches Steve Erickson and Chad White matching wits.
All proceeds go toward the Entringer Scholarship Fund, with former Elkton-Lake Benton basketball player Blake DeVries a 2024 recipient.
Tanner Drietz was named most valuable player during last year’s Classic game, a victory over Waverly-South Shore.
Overall, more than $1,195,000 in scholarships have been presented in the past three-plus decades.
