MARSHALL — The Pipestone Area Schools boys and girls track and field teams had their best success in the sprints during the Marshall Invitational on Monday, April 14.
The Arrow girls scored 42 points for sixth place and the boys compiled 30 for seventh in the meet, which was conducted at Southwest Minnesota State University.
Aurora Winsel was the gold standard in the 200-meter dash, clocking in at 27.79. She also was second in the 100 (12.84).

Haylie Tripp placed second in the high jump, marking at 4-feet, 6-inches.
Winsel also helped propel the Arrows to a bronze medal finish in the 4×100-meter relay (55.03). Other relay members were Emma Hoss, Valencia Murphy and Jasmine Nokes.
On the boys’ side, the foursome composed of Americ Suvandy, Bentley Pater, Connor Wagner and Cayden Zephier was triumphant in the 4×200 relay (1:36.37).

Hayden Brooke joined the group with Suvandy, Pater and Zephier for third in the 4×100 (46.61). Wagner claimed third in the 110 high hurdles (16.13) and Pater also earned fourth in the discus (114-9), rounding out the Arrows best.
