Linda Foss




 

 

Linda Foss, 60, Pipestone, formerly of Hazen, N.D., died Monday, April 6, 2009 after a battle with cancer.

Services will be held Saturday, April 11 at 2 p.m. (MDT), at English Lutheran Church, Hazen with Pastor Bill Wagner officiating.

Linda was born on April 21, 1948 in Hazen, the daughter of Thoephil and Ella (Reiner) Dachtler. She was raised and educated in Hazen. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hazen.

She married Earl Foss on Sept. 11, 1965. Together they moved to Dickinson, N.D.

Linda worked with Oliver-Mercer Special Ed as a preschool teacher’s aid and bookkeeper and was promoted to business manager. In 1994, they purchased Hidden Haven Resort in Perham. They returned to Hazen in 2004, at which time Linda worked for Knife River Group Home. They presently own and operate the Pipestone RV Campground in Pipestone.

She is survived by her husband, Earl; three children, Melissa (Jeff) Remme, Burnsville; Kamala “Kamie” Ensz, Bismarck, N.D., and special friend, Randy Pegors and his son, Evan; Nathan (Angie) Foss, Elko; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Delma (Harold) Wilkins, Center, N.D.; and Marilyn (Lester) Reich, Vermillion, S.D.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son-in-law, Tim Ensz; twin infant sisters; one brother, Eugene and wife Betty Dachtler.
