SLAYTON — There will be a benefit drive-in and fundraiser and dinner on from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 31 at the Murray County Fairgrounds.
Proceeds benefit Slayton mechanic Johnny Meyer, owner of John’s Automotive, who is battling unspecified medical issues.
He has experienced costly hospital stays and more. Funds raised will alleviate financial stress as Meyer works to return to his car shop as a self-employed mechanic.

There will be a pork burger dinner, courtesy of the Murray County pork producers, and milkshakes on the menu.
A silent auction is scheduled, plus door prizes. Tony Moger will be the featured musician.
