LOCAL: Benefit walk scheduled for Tyler

Event will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 10

TYLER — Russell-Tyler-Ruthton’s football field will be the sire of a mental health awareness event called “Together We Walk” set for Saturday, May 10.

The event will take place from 8-9:30 a.m.

The cost is $20 per participant.

There will be a mental health awareness benefit walk on Saturday at the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton school track in Tyler. (Contributed graphic from Vector Stock)

This will be a reflective walk around the RTR track. Walk at your own pace, and complete as many steps as possible.

If you know someone who has lost their battle to mental health issues, and would like to have his or her photo and name displayed during the walk, email: together.we.walk.56178@gmail.com.

The walk may include the sharing of personal stories and experiences related to this emotional topic, including loss, trauma and suicide.
