Norman P. Larson Jr.


Norman P. Larson, Jr., 90, Waconia, Minn., formerly a longtime resident of Sioux Falls, S.D., died Thursday, May 29, 2025, from congestive heart failure at the Waconia hospital.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on June 7 at Peace Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, S.D. The service was livestreamed at peacelutheran.com/live. Visitation took place one hour prior to the service at the church. A fellowship reception followed. Interment was at Hills of Rest Cemetery at 2 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to Heartland Ephphatha Ministries at Peace Lutheran Church (peacelutheran.com/giving) in honor of their decades-long service providing American Sign Language worship and other services to the deaf community.

He is survived by his wife, Maedora; his son, Ricky Larson (Diane), Concord, Calif.; daughters, Janice Crance (Robert), Lee’s Summit, Mo., Carla Larson (Ronda Adelmann), Forest Lake, Minn., Darla Huaman (Lenin), of Waconia, Minn.; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Judy Glammeier, and granddaughter, Tiffany Langdon-Larson.
