RODEO: Git’er Done takes overall Pipestone ranch championship

Klein to the Max wins Lincoln County Fair show

Birch Coulee Arena, LLC, conducted a ranch rodeo on Saturday, Aug. 2, at the Pipestone County Fair horse arena.

Git’er Done was the all-around winner, with four contestants earning shiny buckles for their diligence.

The team was composed of Eric Sandbulte, Ayden Bonnett, Tucker Schrunk and Lonnie Schrunk. The men were from Lynd and Magnolia in Rock County.

Git ’er Done set the tone for the evening with a time of 56.64 seconds on nine head in the sorting contest.

Double H Livestock claimed the doctoring title with a scintillating time of 15.75.

Doctoring involves applying shaving cream to the livestock once it’s been successfully roped.

Cottonwood was the trailer loading champion (33.34 on two head).

Tadpoles won the penning contest in 44.69 to round out the four events that night.

Also on Saturday, Birch Coulee had a ranch rodeo at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds in Tyler.

The team known as Klein to the Max earned the buckles. The quartet features Wade Klein, Max Klein, Logan Klein and Todd Klein from Wessington Springs, S.D.

Last week was busy for Birch Coulee Arena, who also conducted a ranch rodeo in the Pope County seat of Glenwood, north of Willmar.
