ELKTON, S.D. — Eleven Elkton-Lake Benton athletes have qualified for the South Dakota High School Activities Association state meet.
The event will take place Thursday through Saturday, May 29-31, at Howard Wood Field (1200 N. Western Ave.) in Sioux Falls.

Tanner Stein and Blake DeVries have qualified in three events each.
Stein will compete in the 200 dash and 400 run plus the long jump. DeVries is set for the 110 high and 300 intermediate hurdles, and the 4×200 relay.
The relay group also will feature Alexis Hernandez Garcia, Colt Beck and Caden Crofutt.
Eliot Erickson will participate in the 300 intermediate hurdles and pole vault.
Nate Timm, who qualified for the state cross country meet last fall, will compete in the 1,600 and 3,200 runs.
Joseph Nibbe will run the 800 and thrower Tait Boersma is preparing for both the shot put and discus.
On the girls side, Sydney DeVries will compete in the 300 hurdles. Teammate Ivy Jacks races in the 100 hurdles.
Three-day event passes cost $35 for adults and $25 for students. Day tickets are $15 (adults) and $10 (students). Preschool through kindergarten children are admitted free.
