Sign approved for tobacco store

Fall heat sets record

A record high temperature of 91 degrees was recorded for Pipestone on Monday, Sept. 29, overcoming the previous record of 86 for the day, which was set last year. Bid approved for culvert projects

Pipestone County Commissioners during their Sept. 23 meeting approved a low bid of $465,261 from A&C Excavating, of Marshall, to replace four box culverts. A&C Excavatingโ€™s bid was the lowest from among three bids received for the project. The highest bid was $530,214 and the engineerโ€™s estimate was $558,591. Updated facility will feature a new gymnasium

Drake, Guida take the throne

Council approves 5.2 percent preliminary levy increase

Pipestone City Council members during a special Sept. 25 meeting approved a preliminary 2026 property tax levy of $2,962,645, which would be a 5.2 percent increase over the 2025 levy.
