The Pipestone County Star was present for the 28th Annual Michael J. Entringer Scholarship Classic. This is a charity girls basketball festival conducted in Colman, S.D.  This year, Elkton-Lake Benton squared off with Garretson in the auxiliary gymnasium. Ten schools overall competed in this event.  Sports editor Eric Viccaro snapped all the images in this gallery.

The Pipestone County Star was present for a Big South Conference doubleheader on Friday, Dec. 12 in Redwood Falls. The Arrow girls soundly defeated the Cardinals, 84-51.  Meanwhile, in the boys game, Redwood Valley nipped PAS 68-67.  Star sports editor Eric Viccaro assembled this gallery of photos. 

The Pipestone County Star was present for a quadrangular at Pipestone Area Schools gymnasium. The event featured boys and girls wrestlers from PAS, Fulda/Murray County Central, Red Rock Central and Worthington. The Pipestone Area Schools boys and girls basketball teams had their first home Big South Conference doubleheader on Friday, Dec. 5. The Arrow girls won by 33 points while the PAS boys lost by double figures.  PAS will play at Redwood Valley in Redwood Falls on Friday, Dec. 12. All photos by Star sports editor Eric Viccaro. 

The Pipestone Area gymnastics team opened the 2025-26 season with a win over the host Jackson County Central Huskies on Dec. 4, 20205.  The Arrows tallied a team total of 129.025, while JCC ended the night at 127.325.  Junior Kaysa Douty bested her own school record in the all-around with a score of 36.1. Pipestone Area Schools’ girls basketball opened the season on Thursday, Nov. 20. The Arrows downed Montevideo, 63-24, on the road.  Pipestone County Star sports editor Eric Viccaro was present to snap this gallery.
