The Pipestone Economic Development Authority (EDA) during its Feb. 20 meeting voted to set the price for Lot 1, Block 2 of Southwest Acres Third Addition at $15,000 with that price refundable if improvements are made to the property within one year of the purchase and a single-family home is constructed within two years.

That matches the price and incentive the EDA set last summer for lots in Southwest Acres First Addition and Second Addition. EDA member and Mayor Dan Delaney said there had been interest in the lot in Third Addition and that the infrastructure was already in place.

“I think it’s reasonable to go ahead with that one, since it is completed where other portions of that addition wouldn’t be, so we would have to look into those individually,” he said. “But this one we should tie in.”
